Dr. Michelle grew up on a grain farm near a small town in Saskatchewan. She attended the University of Saskatchewan in the College of Kinesiology and although she initially was planning to be an elementary school teacher, she decided to pursue chiropractic which allowed her to combine all of her passions: health, education, and children. She moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend Northwestern Health Sciences University where she got her Doctorate of Chiropractic - summa cum laude (with the highest distinction). Dr. Michelle is always striving to learn more and took extra classes, seminars, and courses to allow her to deliver high quality care to her patients. Her desire to serve mothers and children also led her to become certified as a childbirth educator, labour/postpartum doula, and breastfeeding counsellor. She uses gentle and specific chiropractic techniques to influence the nervous system and, in turn, allow the body to heal and regenerate. It is her passion to work with entire families, especially pregnant/postpartum women and their children. This is why she is certified in Webster Technique (for pregnant women) and a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Michelle lives in Oxford County with her husband (who is also a chiropractor) and her young daughter. Outside of caring for others with chiropractic, Michelle enjoys being with family, trips to Saskatchewan, reading, playing card/board games, and all things active such as hiking and canoeing!
Dr. Michelle’s philosophy is that health and wellness goes beyond pain sensations. The body is
complex and runs through signals sent through the nervous system. Nervous system interference can manifest itself as a
variety of different health concerns. Specific chiropractic adjustments
remove this interference so the brain and the body can communicate more
effectively, allowing the body to heal and adapt. This is how we become
able to experience true wellness.
Her goal is to allow patients to be heard, to educate on health, wellness, and
the nervous system, and to use chiropractic care to help them reach
their own health goals so they can live life well.
Dr. Michelle is also certified in the Webster’s technique which is a technique designed for pregnant women.
It focuses on balancing the pelvis to create the most optimal
environment for the baby and to keep mom comfortable. Through this
technique and others that Dr. Michelle uses, women frequently report
decreased lower back pain, sciatica, heartburn, round ligament pain, and
pubic pain, as well as reduced labour/delivery times (YAY!).

I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing with an Honors Distinction from the University of Western Ontario in 2012. With a passion for perinatal health, I began my career as a nurse in the Obstetrical Care Unit at London Health Sciences Centre. In 2015, I had my first baby and we faced all kinds of breastfeeding challenges. With the support of an amazing village, including a couple of wonderfully skilled lactation consultants, we came to find out our son had a significant tongue tie. Amy is a new mama, registered yoga teacher, ayurveda wellness counsellor and self care enthusiast - passionate about whole-hearted living and sharing the gifts of yoga with others. While she has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, it was her own health crisis that led her to undergo her yoga teacher training in 2017 to understand and immerse herself more deeply into yoga as it was such a grounding tool that helped her feel more ease and support during that health crisis. She spent 3 months living at an ashram, practicing yoga daily, nourishing her mind, body & soul, learning how to be more present with the uncomfortable, and to hold space for herself as she peeled back the many layers of her own healing journey. Upon returning from her yoga training - she felt the pull to share the many gifts that yoga had blessed her with, and to make yoga accessible for those who may be going through their own challenges too.
In addition to her 200 hour Sivananda Hatha Yoga Certification, she has undergone a 100 hour Therapeutic Yoga Training, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, Trauma Informed Movement & both Pre & Post Natal Certifications. She has also been fascinated with Ayurveda (the sister science to yoga) and underwent training in Ayurvedic Cooking and is also an Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Counsellor. She is also currently working towards her 300hour yoga certification with PranaShanti Yoga Centre in Ottawa. But her greatest blessing and teacher in yoga and life has been the birth of her son in 2022. Witnessing her body change and adapt through pregnancy to create a little human, give birth and heal post C-section, and also journey into motherhood - has been so awakening, empowering and humbling all wrapped into one. Amy was thankfully introduced to the WOMB early on in her pregnancy - and had such a wonderful experience partaking in prenatal yoga, pelvic floor physio, doula support, and postpartum services - that she is over the moon to be joining this amazing community that was such a sacred space for her own pregnancy & postpartum journey!
Amy’s classes will guide you to gently move, nourish and reconnect to your body, to build your toolkit to be able to support and experience regulating your own nervous system, to connect with your little one, and most importantly to give yourself grace and compassion both on and off the yoga mat!

I’m Lana and I am a birth doula, lactation educator, and mother to three beautiful children. Helping new moms has been my passion for over a decade. I believe that every woman or birthing person deserves to be fully supported while they are giving birth because giving birth is hard enough on its own! Childbirth is more than medical or physiological—it is a rite of passage for both mother and baby and it is my aim that this sacredness is protected in your unique birth experience.
When I was having my own babies, I took classes in the Bradley Method and HypnoBabies, and the study I did during those three pregnancies made me passionate about childbirth. Since then, I have earned certification as a labor doula through CAPPA, I’ve become a certificated Lactation Education Specialist with BreastfeedLA in Los Angeles, and I was also trained in traditional rebozo techniques with Gena Garcia-Kirby. Before becoming a doula, I was an experienced breastfeeding peer counselor, trained and accredited by La Leche League International since 2013. Carolyne is our lead yoga teacher here at The WOMB. A muma of 3; 2 of which were home births. After her first birth, she made education in health and wellness alternatives a priority. When she had her second daughter in 2009, she became a certified yoga teacher and from there helped her parents open up Radiant Health Yoga Studio. She has been supporting people through breathing and movement ever since.
It wasn’t until she started teaching yoga that she realized her birth experience was few and far between- something that women hoped for but rarely experienced. It became more and more apparent that there was a HUGE lack of support, information and resources and no tangible place to send mums to when it came to pre/postnatal care, so she began a Prenatal Yoga Circle.
That was in 2013, that class became a place for mums-to-be to connect, move and share. It opened them up to their options, giving them insight on the hidden gems of practitioners that were available within the community.
Later that year she took a weekend course in Doula education and a year later completed her 100hr Prenatal Yoga Certification. It was there she met Dr. Sinead Dufour, who she admires and has continued to train with over the years.
In 2015 she received her Pelvic Floor Trainer Certification with Bellies Inc. She continues to train and educate herself in Pelvic Health, and other modalities such as Movement and Trauma, Mindful Strength, Shamanic Healing and Yoga and The Facial System.
Being apart of The WOMB is a dream come true for Carolyne. She is beyond excited to be working alongside Dr. Pam Thornton, a huge mentor and leader in pre and postnatal health.
> In the end, it’s not necessarily the type of birth you have that has a lasting impression… to know you had options and freedom of choice, that you were supported in your decisions and most importantly that you were heard and you were respected , that you were treated with care and compassion. This is of the utmost importance and lasts a lifetime. EVERY woman deserves this type of care.
